This vintage mini dress or tunic was produced by the Clobber label, a boutique in London that was run by Jeff Banks from 1964-1974. Jeff Banks is one of my personal favorites of the British designers of that time and it is wonderful to have found this great little piece. The cut and silhouette are a great representation of that hippie 'street' fashion movement of the time period. It is made of a white cotton yarn that has been done with a loose open weave that forms a vertical chevron pattern. The neckline is set wide across and the sleeves are long and cut to flare at their ends. It skims over the bust and waist and then flares out at the hem. Hand knit and super cute. Excellent condition.
Unlined and slips over the head to wear. The knit has some stretch and did stretch to fit my US size 6 dress form. There is perhaps the very slightest of wear to the cotton from natural aging
