An unbelievable and amazing 1970s Karl Lagerfeld for Chloe silk dress. The color of the silk is absolutely gorgeous - it is a burnt orange salmon - perhaps a touch richer in hue in person then how it photoed. The silk is very fine and of scarf weight so feels like you are wearing a wisp of air. It is a very simple dress that flows from the shoulder and gently widens as it nears the hem. Long sleeves each end in cuffs with the tiniest most precious buttons I have ever seen on a modern garment! The pleat work is the star of this piece! Beautiful flat pleats circle the neckline and adorn each arm near the cuffs. It is a not so subtle detail that really feels like a Karl way of adorning a dress without any true adornments. Excellent condition
Shoulders: no defined seam
Bust: 20" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Waist: 21" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Hips: 22" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Length: 36" from neck to bottom hem
Sleeves: approx 25"
Unlined and made of a very fine, high grade scarf weight silk. It closes with a series of buttons on the back of the neck and each cuff has two tiny buttons to close. There is a very faint, small spot on the back of one cuff near the edge. It does not detract from the dress at all.
