This late 1970s, early 1980s Adele Simpson ensemble is constructed from a scarf weight, luxurious silk that has both a tone-on-tone dot pattern woven through it and those spectacular and vivid blossoms screened onto it from top to bottom. There is a depth and richness to the silk that you just don't get the full impact of until you see the set in person. If you love it in the photos you will be very pleased once it arrives. The colors run rampant over the entire garment and I love the versatility that is has - you can wear the pieces together and it looks like a fabulous maxi dress, or break them up and wear them as separates. You could probably even wear the tunic as a micro mini if you dare. The tunic is cut simply with long lean lines and a loose and easy cut through the body so is very flattering. You could easily tuck it into the skirt for a more fitted look or wear it over a slim pant or even over tights as a mini. The skirt flows to the floor in one long lean column of silk. It is in excellent, appears unworn condition Both pieces are unlined. The skirt closes with a side zipper and flat hook & eye. The tunic closes with a back zipper and two hook & eye at the neck. Light padding in each shoulder that could be removed if desired. It is a true black in person. There is a 12" slit on either side of the tunic
